Methods of fabric cutting///

There are mainly three types of cutting technique

1. Completely by manual    -Hand operated scissor
2. 2      Manually operated powered knife
   3.      Straight knife
   4.      Band blade
   5.      Round blade
   6.      Die Cutter
   7.      Computerized technique
   8.      Knife cut
   9.      Cutting by water jet
   10.  Laser cutting
   11.  Plasma torch cutting

Hand operated scissor:-

Hand shears are normally used when cutting only single or double plies. The lower blade of the shears passes under the plies, but the the accurate to the line can be achieved with practice.the method is flexible enough to accommodate any fabric construction .

Advantage:

              1.       Suitable for small production.

              2.       Easy to operate.

              3.       Suitable for making sample garments.

Disadvantage:

              1.      Time consuming method.

              2.      High labor cost per garments.

              3.      Fabric wastage is very high
