Different Color Fastness Tests

Color Fastness:

Color fastness is the significant factors in the cause demand. Color stability bears onto the impedance of the colors to fade or bleed from textiles dyed or printed materials of different types of effects, example, water, light, washing and so on which they're generally exposed in the textile industry and in everyday use. I have written many books on color fastness.

 Standards of Color Fastness:
3. ISO (International Standards Organization):
In 1947, ISO subcommittee that color. ISO also degrees of stability:
Light fastness: 1 ~ 8
Additional stability: 1 ~ 5

Factors Affecting the Color Fastness Properties:

  1. The chemical nature of the fibers. For example, the cellulosic fiber dyed with reactive dyes or VAT exhibit good stability properties. Protein fibers are dyed with colors and pungent acid interact to achieve good properties of stability and so on. This means a dye agreement with the fiber is really important.
  2. The personal manner in which the dye is attached to the fiber or the animal form of the present.
  3. The amount of pigment present in the depth of shade fibers. There is a deep shade less than the speed of light shade or light.
  4. The presence of extra chemicals in this article.
  5. Actual conditions during exposure.
