Introduction:Sliver is the production of
carding machine raw material of sliver is bell. Lap is interred the carding
machine and after processing sliver is produced roving is the production of
complete new mtl of roving sliver. Sliver and roving count is determine as number
of hank of 840 yds present in 1 lb.

Calculation:
We know that, Hank=(sample
Length÷ Length unit ) × (Weight unit ×
sample weight)
So,
Hank1 = (6yds ÷840 yds ) × (
1lb÷4.13gm )
=( 6yds ÷840yds ) × (453.46 ÷4.13gm
)= 0.784
Count strength produced =62
TPI =20
CSP= 31.6 × 62 =1959.2
